Do you have a budget that allows you to splurge on spa treatments? Here is one worth every penny.
At Burke Williams Spa in Pasadena, for $150, spa goers can indulge in the Nourishing Facial. This luxurious 80-minute treatment delivers what the name promises by supplying your skin with hydration, antioxidants and minerals, and when you are finished you leave with a tingling sensation upon your face that feel as if you have brand new skin. MassageFor starters, the Nourishing Facial includes an extensive massage that is guaranteed to help you rejuvenate and relax. It includes the face, scalp, shoulders, neck and décolletage, as well as the feet, hands and arms. A paraffin dip and hot mitts for the hands are provided as well. This is a substantial massage and one with a purpose; if you have any muscle kinks or cramps, they are sure to be loosened up and kneaded out by the aesthetician, which makes the massage portion of this facial one that can stand alone, and one that further contributes to an amazing spa treatment and overall experience. Vitamins, Minerals and SeaweedIn addition to a thorough massage of the above mentioned areas, the Nourishing Facial includes pore extraction as well as a fabulous three layer mask; a mineral mask consisting of vitamins and plant extracts, a gauze to separate the mask layers and allow the skin to breathe, and a seaweed mask (minus the pungent odor) to tighten skin and refine pores. The treatment also includes an application of an antioxidant serum for whatever skin type you have, be it dry, oily, sensitive, or combination. A Word on AmenitiesAlthough the Nourishing Facial is one not to be passed up, if it is not a specific spa treatment one desires, patrons can still enjoy full use of the spa amenities Monday through Thursday, which include a quiet room, a wet room (similar to that of a rain forest) whirlpool, dry and wet saunas, revitalizing showers, refreshing lemon and cucumber water along with fresh apples and bananas for guests to enjoy. The cost is just forty dollars. Thirsty cotton robes await guests in their assigned lockers along with spa slippers. One of the BestThis is of the best facials out there. Not only does it leave you feeling as if you have new skin, but the massage is fantastic, and as always at Burke Williams, the individual treatment rooms (along with entire spa) are filled with the wonderful odor of lavender and eucalyptus aromatherapy to further invigorate the senses, as well as soft music that fills the cozy space, allowing you to sink into the softness of the cushiony beds that BW provides. With that said, the Nourishing Facial is an absolute must for both spa experts and novices alike.
